New Saltamarges release: AUTODESTRUCCIÓ ‘Neva a Tot Arreu’ a special cassette-tape for the Barcelona Apolo Record Store Day 2015

Barcelona, April 2015 – The productive capacity of Càndid Coll (Autodestrucció, Zeidun, Murnau B, The Red Sexy Band, El Petit de Cal Eril, …) at the time of making songs is overwhelming. The summer of 2013 he started to record the second album of Autodestrucció, ‘Cop Net’ (Jacquard, 2014), this time together with the band members, not like the classic of catalan melodic-hc ‘Corre, core, paralític’ (Jaquard, 2011), where Càndid Coll did it all by himself. But in this recording session the total of recorded tracks was close to thirty, too much for just one record. Finally ‘Cop Net’ hit the streets with 20 tracks made of songs and crazy interludes. Now the Girona-based independent label Saltamarges publishes the extra tracks that the band kept to themselves, plus another few songs recorded in February 2014 at home, in a cassette-tape made specially for the Record Store Day, ‘Neva a Tot Arreu’ (Saltamarges, 2015).

With a total of 9 tracks, in this album we find another bunch of hits that would confirm the strong passion for melodic hardcore that took place in Catalonia during the 90’s, and therefore nowadays we still find some resonance from those years (check out Anchord, a young band from Girona with their debut edition also published by the label Saltamarges).

These new tracks still show and bet on the most decadent face of our actual lives, many times apparently complete and joyful, in a lost and competitive capitalist society. Always from a very personal point of view. This is also one of the conclusions one can get from the documentary ‘Un lloc on caure mort‘ that is based in the figure of Càndid Coll and Autodestrucció, that was showcased in the past 2014 edition of the In-Edit festival, and won the prize of the best national documentary.

‘Neva a Tot Arreu’ is a cassette-tape specially released by Saltamarges for the Record Store Day 2015 and will be available on April 18th exclusively in the Apolo Store of Barcelona (Sala Apolo) as part of a day of celebration of the record and record-store world, where many live-shows will take place. Autodestrucció will offer an acoustic show.
